I am an expat recently stationed in Penang, Malaysia. With some budget for a work-from-home setup, I started shopping around at local suppliers. I was immediately taken by the quality and beauty of this adjustable height desk from Balak’s Penang called Meja Soul. Balak’s was originally a door factory which pivoted into desk making a few years ago. They also developed the riser and the pencil tray in cooperation with a local steelworker called Stacos. The latter also makes a stainless steel cable management tray (not visible in this pic).
I am not affiliated with Balak’s, by the way. I’m just posting this out of pure enthusiasm as a customer. I decided to pair the desk with a Fractal Design North PC case. I purchased the Gravastar Supernova speakers to add some gaming vibes to the setup. As you can see, I am still experimenting with footrest stands. Suggestions are welcome here.
