Why would he want proof that he was there? Remember that he was committing a crime at the time. Generally criminals don’t record incriminating evidence that links them to a crime.
Also consider that the police in Night City are ridiculously corrupt.
If he had presented this “evidence” that he was there, most likely he would have been handed right over to Arasaka who would have soulkilled him to find out what he knew and his body would find its way into an incinerator somewhere. Corporations are essentially government bodies unto themselves and they hold massive influence in the Cyberpunk world and Night City in particular.

Yes – the whole heist crew are absolute morons.

There is no way anyone would believe it’s real

It isn’t that arasaka knew/suspected that but they just went along with Yorinobu? I visited Hanako in Embers long time ago but thats pretty much what she tells you from what i remember

Why didn’t they just carry the relic out on a drone?

If V and Takemura handed a shard to anyone other than Hanako, it would’ve just been intercepted and destroyed by one of Yourinobu’s underlings, and as was seen in the game, getting to Hanako and getting her to willingly accept or listen to anything was a huge challenge.
Also, most criminals tend to turn off recording devices when they are committing crimes.

Short answer: Yes. The whole heist was amateurs getting too full of themselves. You put way more effort and thought into all the big missions that come later.

I always wondered what would happen if V or Jackie came out to stop the killing, would Saboru appreciate it and will stand along them?
I mean you’re the one of the most powerful man in the world and his own son was killing him, would he care that some nobodies that entered to steal some shit? Or will be relieved that they helped him?

You know, all of this could’ve been solved if they just remembered that my Sandevistan had a built in BD scroller

I find that there are so many other obviously things V could have said or done with The Heist that would have drastically changed how things worked out. I mean, when V goes back to the Motel they don’t even bother trying to tell Dex that Yorinobu offed Saburo? Why not just hand Dex the chip as son as the door opens, turn around and walk out? Hell, before they even left the penthouse, why not put the chip back in the floor safe then sneak down to a lower floor and keep pretending to be guests?

Short of scrolling it as a braindance everyone would just dismiss it as fake, even a braindance would probably be suspected as a fake.
