MaiMai is also partially based on Fiat 126p “Maluch”, manufactured in Poland for many years.

    Paweł Mielniczuk, the designer:

“While designing the CP77 cars, we were inspired by legends and classics that cruised the streets in 80s and 90s. We were not only looking for powerful sport machines. We needed a project of very small city vehicle, working named “Bubble Car”, representing Entropism style (“necessity over style”). Association with Maluch came automatically, especially because we have a great sentiment to it. For most of us it was the first family car in the 80s.

Makigai MaiMai P126 name is a wink to polish fans and our loose interpretation of small car manufactured in Bielsko-BiaÅ‚a. It appears in game in several variations. In the project itself, we wanted to refer to the legendary car, not to copy it though. We decided to place the engine in the back, shape the engine hatch and the way it opens in characteristic way, but the main similarity between MaiMai and Maluch is the finish – stamped sheets, hinges and rubber seals visible on the outside of the vehicle, cheap plastics and spartan interior.”

I mean almost anything is possible with enough time and money. The question you have to ask yourself is if you have those things.

That said, if you want to try, I’ll certainly root for you.
