Hi overclockers, I have a development pc which I used to build code and run soak tests across several vms and as such I installed 2 more dimms totaling 4x32GB with a 7950x.
I am currently increasing the frequency by 200Hz each week and I’m at 4200MHz with no other memory adjustments and all is well but when running the cmd, winsat mem, I am getting 50411.01 MB/s, what is the expected transfer speed for 4 dimms at 4200MHz vs 2 dimms at 5200mhz?
I am thinking of buying 2x48GB but is that worth doing?
I think I could squeeze 4400MHz on my current rig and I’m yet to adjust the timings, are the timings really bad?
The ram is CMH64GX5M2B5200Z40K.
