If the 4080 Super is more expensive than the regular 4080 why would anyone go for the Super? If Bandwith is cloer to 900 for super is that what makes it worth it?

A TI Super, that’s umm… nice. Might as well have called it 4770^((based on them doing the 1660 thing)), and then 4770ti, clearly we don’t have enough expensive SKUs.

No, they’ll just move the 4080 down in price and revive the 4080’s original MSRP for the 4080 Super.

Then the tech reviewers will say, “Wow! I can’t believe Nvidia is giving us more performance for the same price! Buy! Buy! Buy! …but not before this segue from our sponsor”

4070ti super will probably become very popular due to its vram but again it depends how much more it will be compared to 4070ti

gap between 4080/s and 4090 is still to big. 20gb at 320bit buswidth with a hefty corecount bump would be awsome.

    someone can hope on a 4080 ti…

How menu cards do we won’t. Nvidia: yes

  6. everything but 4090 skimped on cuda cores. Sure 4090 is a fucking ripoff, buying anything lower then 4090 you are doubly scammed. Either you buy 4090 or you skip this gen.

If these rumors are true it looks like the 4080 super will be a huge letdown, only 5,26% more CUDA and same VRAM. 4070ti getting at least 4 gb more vram, improved bus width and 10% more CUDA. The 4070 super being the most promising since it will gain 21.73% CUDA, that’s a lot. Of course pricing will be the most crucial factor but i don’t see a good future for the 4080 super

  8. I would buy a 4080S with 20gb VRAM.

I’m down for an update. Currently looking at the 7900 xtx. If there’s a 4080 S with said VRAM upgrade in the similar price range like the xtx, I will go with Nvidia.

They’re going to stop producing the regular 4080, and discount the remaining stock. The 4080 Super will replace the 4080 at the same MSRP.

This is exactly how they handled previous Super cards in the past.

  10. its a hard battle who fucks up the names more this gen…

    4070 ti super? lol wtf

As soon as I read “4070ti super” I stopped.

Ti and SUPER iterations of already existing cards make absolutely no fucking sense

I’m just holding out on my 2060 until I can get a 4070ti used cheap. My money isn’t going to nvidea for a new model of this gen, they’re trash!

Hoping AMD FSR gets better next gen or Intel pull something out of the bag

If they drop the price of the 4080 would it be a dumb move to sell my 7900xtx for a 4080 to game at 4k and utilize RT/PT and DLSS?

  15. 4070 Super sounds like only meaningful card. The 4080 might be okay, too, if it comes with 20GB VRAM. I’d also be looking at OG 4080 for price drops.

They might just kill off prodution of the original SKUs once the Super SKUs come out. Like when 2070Super and 2080Super came out, the original 2070 and 2080 were no longer produced.

Want to get the 4070, should I wait for the super variant to arrive?

I think they will discount or pause the regular cards.
