This is the price graph (from camelcamelcamel) for a 32 Gb kit (16×2) of G.Skill Trident Z5 6400 MT/s CL32. I got mine mid-November 2022 for $220, and at that point it has already dropped precipitously, but even since then, this kit is now $120 on Amazon. Great all around!

This is great, should keep this going by adding a new line for motherboard prices, mid range board because that’s what really kept me from jumping into DDR5. I instead invested more in my NAS.

RAM and SSDs are in a really affordable place. To offset the gross GPU and MOBO pricing. Although I haven’t really paid attention since I build my PC. So maybe those came down to a respectable place too? I bought an SSD during Prime Day cause the price was really nice and game sizes are getting pretty obnoxious.
I paid £119 for 32GB DDR5 at 6000MHz which I thought was alright

Yep. It’s gotten to the point where I’m now planning out my PC upgrade build. If only AM5 motherboards would just follow course.
As expected, same with when Skylake users coughed up lots of money initially and then Zen came along and that’s when DDR4 really tanked.
Market outlook for memory is at its lowest, and is projected to actually increase once companies cut back production and falling prices due to oversupply
So basically now’s the time, don’t wait. The trend is already starting

Yeah it was surprisingly cheap for me to get 64G of DDR5 when I upgraded my CPU.. I know that I don’t need that much but…
There’s full on 2×16 ddr5 kits for 75$ now

Lower DDR5 prices might lead to more widespread adoption, especially for gamers and content creators looking for that extra performance edge
