I bought morpheus 8069 for my palit 3090 gamingpro and it works great but the thing is… as you know the 3090 have VRAM chips on the backside and the thing is with this particular card when you install the morpehus cooler you have to take off the plastic thingy that covers half of the card and apparently have the screw holders for the backplate on them, so I am unable to screw in the backplate on it correctly, so at this point the backplate with the thermalpads is just lying on the top of the card pressed by a fan, I’ve been thinking of getting something like [these heatsinks](https://cdn3.botland.store/109084-pdt_540/set-of-copper-radiators-for-raspberry-pi.jpg) and setting them on the VRAM chips but I do not know if that’s enough, have anyone tested anything similar to this solution?

You can drive yourself crazy trying to tame the 3090 backplate memory chips and spend a fortune and still not get the results you wanted. I’ve been there.
If I was you I’d either stick with those copper things and have a dedicated fan blowing on the backplate and be done with it or get a waterblock and watercool it, If you keep buying and testing new things you’ll soon mount up close to a loop cost.
I went waterblock after sinking about $200 on new pads, paste, shims, copper plates, etc only to still decide I wasn’t happy with thermals. Don’t even need an active backplate, actually, active backplate is kinda counter productive, the memory chips work better when a little toasty. Don’t want them too cool.
I’ts rare my memory chips hit 60c with a corsair block, the block being just on the front cools the chips on the back down plenty enough.
Anything else than solid copper is useless, don’t even think about it. If you get actual copper ones, they will help, but the problem is that you kind of want to secure them in-place to prevent them from falling off and shorting something. That’s the real issue with these heatsinks, as anything that actually holds them in place will have horrible thermal transfer, basicly making the heatsinks useless.
I used to mine on my 3090 with just a fan blowing on the naked VRAM chips, it kept them under 90C even while mining, but the card was waterblocked so it might be a bit hotter on air.
How are the temps with your current setup?
