Everywhere I’m reading, in order to merge the minds, you need 10 intelligence minimum. But now I just got there, and suddenly it says I need 17 intelligence to do it. Did something change? It seems weird that I randomly would need 17 intelligent since that’s so far away. To note, I got to 11 and then chose to do this mission since I specifically wanted to make this choice. Anyone know what I’m missing?????

Skill checks like this now scale as you level up.
You needed 10 in version 1. In 2.0, the skill checks are level based and unfortunately much higher
Forget the skill checks. Listen to Johnny he’s right on this one.
Shoot the bastard and destroy it
The fun part ist once u hit 17 it will be 20
You can just shoot that piece of hardware. Same result as the intelligence requirement option
Yeah I had the same problem, I came back with 17 inteligence and it had gone up to 18.
The scaling thing they introduced is a major pain in the ass, it also wanted me to pay like 15k to enter a casino.
It is possible to meet every skill check (with legendary gorilla arms) but it takes meticulous planning and a fair bit of grinding. 20 int/tech, 15 body/cool, 10 reflex, 1 bonus at level 60
I am not a fan of this change even if I understand why it was made. I like the talking vending machine quest but I can’t do it anymore because of the str requirements for the first part of the quest. There will be a mod if there isn’t already though.
Don’t hit that fuckin’ button. Destroy the core.
Me with my 20 body, cool, tech and 3 INT.
smash cor >:)
Replaying as well and this time i decided to take my time and get a high level in order to tackle the DLC prepared.
My shock when i saw the Intelligence skill check was a 20 was palpable but because I’m doing a certain build i was already at 20 Int so i passed it.
This and the Eddies random payments scaling for quests and such has been a bit of an unwelcome change honestly in what is an amazing second playthrough for me.
For the record i spend 97 hours on my first one and am currently at just above 40 hours with about 2/3 in Act 2.
Should destroy it anyway.
Auto-leveling always sucks. Not a single game with auto-leveling that I’ve played I enjoyed it. Auto-leveling only makes me feel like there’s no progression since everyone around me gets more powerful at the same pace.
Auto-leveling the attribute checks is even worse. Make auto-leveling a damn toggle, like in the Witcher 3.
As a combat build street kid i let them go free.
Chaos baby
blow that shit up
Was 20 when i did it at max level. Busted the core instead.
Just shoot te core dude
It makes sense, I mean merging AI’s is something only a dedicated net runner could do. I just destroy it in every other play through.
If you’re on PC you can get a mod to fix this broken nonsense: [Attribute Checks De-Scaled](https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/9388)
Before 2.0 it was needed 20.
Edit: okay it seems it was because level adjustment, I did this mission at lvl 50, lucky to be a netrunner.
So I did a bit of a test on this in my 2.0 playthrough. I had 16 int and it required 17. So I reloaded before entering delamain and killed some scavs to level up and increased int to 17. Upon entering delamain the skill check was now 18! So I’m not sure but I feel like this may be intentional.
