My PC building mentor was old school. (great buy btw) He had an ESD mat work surface and would snap his wrist strap into it. He gave me stern warnings about the dangers of ESD. I ignored him mostly because I was 17 and just forgot and was a screwup. It became a habit and here I am 30 years later with zero ESD disasters.
To be fair grounding has come a long way and it very well might have been a danger in his early days.

Hey man there’s no shame in safeguarding your components with an ESD. I don’t do it because I have an absurd amount of trust in slapping the top of the case before I touch anything

I forgot to mention that I’m using 4 Arctic P12 case fans instead of the 2 Corsair fans that cane with the case. They’re PEM 120mm fans and I have a case fan hub for them.

I love the 4000D Airflow. It’s so much nicer than my last case. It’s so easy to pull the front panel off and clean the air filter
