I was watching youtube and my pc blue screened. A Windows message popped up saying something about needing to select a boot device. I opened up my case to check the m.2 ssd and saw these white specks on all of the case fans and the gpu. Is it mold or something else?

Hard to judge from the picture. It looks more like ash, dust or some other deposit. It doesn’t look like mold, that would be more clustered together.
Looks like drywall dust. Hard to say from the photo.
Is it possible you have a fan sucking in drywall or something?

Looks like pet dander or some other type of dust that got blown in. It’s definitely not mold as the environment within couldn’t sustain it.
Could be anythig from dust that got humidified to drywall dust to shredded paper

Was your pc on and working when you drilled holes in the walls or something like that? Any construction work? Because it looks like you maybe drilled holes above the pc and it sucked everything inside
I know it’s not what you’re asking but is the HD Audio header really in that spot on that motherboard? Seems really strange as usually that kind of spot would be a fan header
Someone else had posted something similar and the answer, apparently, was the thermal pads on the M.2 drive were breaking down and shedding off these particles.

Either you have had a cap blow out or you have popcorn ceilings. Fun fact, popcorn texturing used asbestos before the mid 1980s.

i also cut my computer off when i vacuum/dust because that stirs up a lot of dust into the air. but it does look a little weird

Looks like when my buddies motherboard lit on fire. Likely short circuit somewhere and a popped capacitor. Check for burn marks and/or water damage
Probably just clumps off dust. That’s how it looks when big clumps break up.
have you started using a humidifier since the seasons are changing? or do you grow plants indoors that like humidity? if your water has a high mineral content it will produce a white sediment on stuff when put through a mist humidifier. at least that is where i have experienced a similar substance.
