I have spent an inordinate amount of time on my setup. I should have just bought a desk, and not decided to repaint my case. With it all done, I am very proud of how it all turned out. The desk is a maple slab (8 cut down to 7’) with an epoxy inlay on the curved edge, and in the void space supported with dominos for structural stability. The old school file cabinet was powder coated, and all of the hardware was replaced. A nice Swedish fellow off Etsy built the left leg. Here are the build specs for the computer:

Case: Hyte Y60 (custom painted)
CPU: 7800 X3d
GPU: MSI 4090 x gaming trio
Water cooling parts all EK with some bitspower stuff thrown in. Fittings painted same as case.
Hard drive, ram the good stuff
Lian li infinity fans….probably going to switch away from RGB and go straight grey/black noctuas.

Lessons learned:
– If you are going to make a curved epoxy edge….build an exceptional form and test it.
– if you are going to paint make sure to prime with self etching paint, LET IT DRY, two coats of paint, and at least 2 coats of clear coat. Take your time! Wasted a lot of time with impatience on the clear coat step.
– if you are going to paint fittings, plan it out. Use a scrap hard tube, and attach the fittings like you normally would. Remove the o rings.
– cable management always sucks.

That looks very clean. I see a lot of computers and hyte builds are always nice but it’s your desk that truly impresses me and how you thought of the cut outs for your stat screen.
The only thing I can recommend and tell everyone is don’t be afraid to use your PC as a home entertainment system and hook it up to a true sound system and tv with 2nd wireless keyboard and mouse. I believe you more than capable to figure out how. Go from PCMR to HTPCMR
