For me the most natural fit seems to be Streetkid for female V, and Corpo for male V. Personally I favour the female voice actor, so that’s the one I’ve done more playthroughs with, and that’s the one I think of as canon. But that’s no hate to the male voice actor at all, he’s great as well. I think it mainly comes down to slightly preferring the dynamic with Johnny this way.

I’ve played as nomad female and corpo male. I preferred female to the point that I’ve now been tempted to replay as female again. The outfits are way hotter, the storyline even seems to fit better in a lot of ways. 🤷♀️

I must say both of them have better parts they okay in the story, I like male V’s I interactions with Johnny more but female V’s interactions with other characters I like more, so I don’t know. Both voice actors are great and did a phenomenal job with their role so it’s hard to decide.

Second playthrough – Female Steetkid. Not afraid to get down and dirty to move through the ranks of NC and it’s underground, using her street smarts.
Third playthrough – Corpo, Either. You already know the ins, outs and behind the scenes of NC. Use that to take down your former corpo overlords.
1st and 2nd playthrough logic was also because I wanted to mirror each gender’s main love interest. A rare kind of common ground and connection, found in the darkest pits of NC

I’m surprised Male Streetkid isn’t more popular, I would have thought it was the default male path, Gavin mentioned it being his first path and it shows in his voicework. I think it really fits with all the cyberpunk slang. Plus, Streetkid gives you the tightest relationship with Jackie, in my opinion. You’re more on the same level.

My first run still and I went for street kid male v and he feels so.. real as a character and the voice acting is phenomenal im gonna do a corpo male next run and I hear it’s pretty cool not sure wether to go net runner this time as I use a sandy with a katana currently and I freaking love the gameplay and I tried netrunning but I must admit it’s quite boring play style but I haven’t delved too deep into it lol 😂

Male Corpo V. The dynamic you have with Johnny really gave off a buddy cop vibe, and it fits really well because you being an Ex Corpo basically the people that Johnny wanted to stick it to when he was alive and now you’re on his side taking on the Corporation’s together.

It gives you something very specific to bond with Johnny over, gives you great motivation to side with Meredith, and I love being able to just walk into the Arasaka base to reprogram the parade float.
Also everything ends where it all began, which just feels righto me.
