I spoiled it for myself and it sounded absolutely miserable so I went for the Sun & Temperance endings. As a Johnny enjoyer, I think the latter was better but still very bitter-sweet.

Yep, I went that route as well thinking I was taking up a worthy fight just as with the first time in CP2077 and CDPR proved that no good deed ever goes unpunished in their games.

I finished the game today and went back to do the alternate endings and I hate that there is no post gameplay. I would love to still play even with the brutal outcome. I really really really didn’t want the game to end so the immersion actually hit me pretty hard in real life with the cure ending. I called Judy 1st and lord almighty I felt that shit in my bones. After I called River I definitely felt for V. Glad Vik stayed a real one and didn’t leave.

CDPR: we will cure V buttt all the other Character you have grown to love will abandon V and we will make it so V won’t have any chrome so they will more than likely get killed long before than can get to a point they can defend themselves.
CDPR set out to do maximum emotional damage and they succeeded.
I’ll just stick with my head cannon the star ending V get cured via gene therapy and biotechnology from storm tech.

Lost all his friends, Lost his home, Lost his pets, lost his chrome, lost 2 years of his life, even lost his legend… Bro can’t even defend himself now.
V gets his cure and gets to live but it literally cost him everything. I’m not too sure about this ending… It was a steep price to pay.

I completed the PL main quest, spoiled myself on the ending by watching a youtube video, and then went with the “Don’t Fear The Reaper” route because it felt tremendously more satisfying than withering away into NPC status. Sorry Reed
Most people in Night City live average lives and even the chooms that blaze out get forgotten after several decades in all but the circles where they originally worked. Heck I suspect the average Night City citizen that wasn’t doing anything shady probably didn’t know who V even was at their peak popularity.
V started with nothing at the start of the story and built up to something, albeit with chrome. Now they can start again and perhaps use the skills they have accumulated to be a fixer or work in intel or just start a family. The Blaze of Glory is not the be all and end all. Judy left NC behind and she sounds pretty happy in the Tower ending. Corpo V seemed miserable and chronically stressed in their intro quest, so I am glad that they get to live and potentially escape Night City.
To add to that, even Edgerunners portrayed the Blaze of Glory as a bad outcome.
