well it is a new game so patches will most likely fix it, as a lot of poorly optimized games before managed to get fixed, a lot of ubisoft titles was like that

This performance may be the fault of poor optimization, but I still think that games shouldn’t run at anything more than a sideshow at max settings when run on hardware that existed at the time of release. If the game can than it’s graphics don’t scale high enough, just like if it can’t run in the most common setups at the time of release, then it failed to scale down far enough.

I just set it on medium on my 3080. It looks worse than the first game that way but it’s playable. It seems capped at 60 fps, but tbh that’s fine since I could never get the first one to stay above 50 anyway (on higher settings obviously, but still).

My 3070 must be doing well because it can get those numbers, although I normally play on medium settings at 60fps.

What? Im on 4k everything maxed out and get 36fps in my Megalopolis. It’s not great but why would the fps be lower on a lower resolution?

I set depth of field to low and am on 1440p but I’m on highest everything else and I’m fine. I haven’t checked the fps but it’s definitely above 30 imo.

Developers assumed that people smart enough to build complicated cities, will be also smart enough to configure graphics settings. Apparently, they were wrong, and not even articles saying “Disable this and this” helped; people just want everything dumbed down to the point they dont have settings at all.
