I think the Easter egg was disappointing. Rictofen says at the start of the game, “I’ve got to find Dr Monty. He can fix everything” I thought the ee would be about contacting him.
Nope just some ridiculous Arnie throws.
We deserved a super ee. IW zombies had a proper super ee. It’s a shame we didn’t get anything like that in BO3

No. The Easter egg was a a bit shit but I think the map and the story was really cool.

At the time, nah. A lot of the Rev unenjoyers tend to forget that we all wanted a map like Revelations, a combination of every past Zombies map to make one giant nostalgia fest. It was the Chronicles before Chronicles, and I really liked the gameplay it had to offer, as easy as it was. The only way the map could’ve been disappointing for you is if you were deep in the EE’s or story, which in that case, yeah it could’ve been a lot better. Still, it’s a fun map to go back to, to this day I think it’s the best looking map visually, and it’s only really seen as a disappointing end to BO3 in hindsight, imo

I do wish every map up to that point was included, but other than that, no.

I personally really liked it.

The map itself is great. Surprisingly casual in a way almost reminiscent of Buried. Its biggest issue is probably that it lacks a strong identity, though I do think it has one. Chronicles kind of undercut it in a lot of ways.
The Easter Egg itself is probably more disappointing— from the many ridiculous steps of shooting out of bounds pebbles, the reuse of the Shadowman boss mechanic which I never found enjoyable, and the end cutscene that IMO is good story wise and reveals the paradox we were presented with in Origins, but was paced so quickly that it felt anti-climactic.
Again, it’s an A tier map and is amazing for casual fun, but it’s EE could have been stronger.

Map was conceptually awesome poor EE.

No it brought me back to zombies from last playing Black Ops 2 zombies launch through Mob. I tried Shadows when Black Ops 3 came out and didn’t like it. I was watching streamers at the time who were streaming the easter egg hunt and it got me involved so much that I redownloaded it and ended up getting prestige master from level 3 or something lol.

Not really, Gorgeous map, fun but challenging system of generators and PaP access, giant space murder puppy, easy to learn and enjoy, thicc ass margwas, all the cool wonder weapons, a good specialist’s weapon in the box, lil’ arnies, spectacular atmosphere, a few fun Easter eggs to do, and my personal favorite of the BO3 original maps.

I had fun with it but it feels unfinished. Judging by how BO4 went and learning about the dev cycle Treyarch has been trapped in since Sledgehammer took the stage makes me think that it really was unfinished.
All in all I wasn’t disappointed per se, but it should have been better

I would say yes, but considering everying on bo3 up to that point had been disappointing I would say I expected it to suck like the rest of the game did.

It’s one of my favourite maps to play in bo3. Partly because it’s the only one with the peacekeeper mk2 ngl, but mostly cause i just love the map in general. The spawn is one of my favourite training spots of any map.
