It’ll keep going for a while. The 40xx series just doesn’t seem to be worth the insane prices so I’m saving now for the 5090. Hopefully that will be enough to get full ray traced 4k 120. That’s all I ask lol.

Upgrading from 3060 ti doesn’t even matter right now. You can run basically every game with good optimalization. My only limitation is ram and CPU to run for example Cyberpunk on ultra details with ultra ray tracing smoothly. I can run it like that but with drops in cities sometimes.
And no I can’t run Cities Skylines 2 with more than 20fps… Bobody can 🤣

Considering that you can’t run a lot of new games at over 2k 75fps (my monitor specs) with any graphics cards these days. I’m keeping my 2060 until there’s a new card (or better optimisation) because it’s not worth it.
If they want to market the 40 series at 1080p/1440p cards, then I’ll keep my 20 series 1080p/1440p card.
My next upgrade will be one to play at 4k 100+ fps, and until there’s a cheap, reliable way to do that, I’m good.

I used a first generation Core i7 for 14 years and updated the gpu a couple of times.
My trusty rig was Core i7 920 (@ 3,4 Ghz), 24 GB DDR 3 (@1600Mhz) and Geforce 1660 Ti.
Finally upgraded this year to Ryzen 7800x3D, 32 GB DDR5 (@6000 MHz) and Geforce 4080.
Went also from windows 7 straight to windows 11. Steam dropping its support for win 7 was my primary reason for upgrading…
