Good damage containment, that steel alloy is not easy to work
Itzz_Jan
You could have measured the points out to drill the holes xD. But honestly if it works, it works (sorry for bad england).
Bobsofa
Lol. Those drill holes will help a bit, but bigger circular holes will give you better airflow.
GuyWearingaBlackHat
Home depot house hvac filter and a black mesh panel would be a slicker way to go. Me personally ive been living the open air max airflow life style since 2020 and im never going back to building in boxes. Can of air duster and easily accessible components means routine cleaning takes about 5 minutes and my thermals would make an F22 blush.
lozt247
Speed holes 🤙
DarkWatt
Wasn’t easier to take the front panel off ?
Yelebear
You could have just removed the tempered side glass panel
chewyhansolo
This is 14 year old thinking, surely.
The_KidCe
ufff, all that work for +5% airflow
Embarrassed_Log8344
This is why friends never let friends get NZXT cases.
TweaknFreak
Why not cut out a whole rectangular section and put a white mesh in there? Would look much cleaner IMO
TheLabMouse
5600x temps were fine when I had the stock AMD cooler but then I grabbed an AIO, mounted it in the bracket designed for mounting coolers and boy, I didn’t realize the case actually intakes from the front holes. It’s a negative pressure case. So the tempered glass panel is now in storage. The only way to fix this I think would be to just cut out a big hole in the front and mount the cooler directly on it.
F0X_
Sorry but that looks like shit, I could have done better drunk.
Infinity2437
Yknow theres an h510 mesh
TesticleMicrometer
If you have a printer you could have designed a template and taped it down before drilling.
Skinc
Im honestly considering the same with my H710. The airflow is just terrible.
GrowYourOwnMonsters
Measure twice, cut once.
Trollercoaster101
That’s kind of…meshed up.
duxkaos1
I did that with phanteks case, ended up looking like shit and ordered new front panel with mesh xd
Yeyo117
What about two big circular holes, and eight small holes for the screws of your new RGB fans?
Dr_Axton
Not sure how much the 12000 differs from k in terms of temps and power consumption , but in my case getting a big air cooler with two good 140mm fans worked
Way_Too-Easy
These couple of holes barely do anything for airflow besides destroying your case. You’re still just maybe 5% holes to 95% metal… you need 4x-5x the amount of holes right now if you want to see any major improvement.
Do a full rectangular cut out instead and put a fine mesh filter over it to allow proper airflow and to minimize dust in the process.
2 sheets of 400mm x 300mm mesh dust filters are like $10 on Amazon.
MHWGamer
did you draw the points first and then failed or did you rawdog it like a meeeeen?
If first, well look up how it is done (ballpoint pin)
If second, kinda impressed that it is still this “good”
InsatiableDevilMan
You should tell whoever owns that drill they need a new drill bit 😂
dbeynyc
C’mon man, if you just used a level and a ruler you could have made this look super clean..
ClamatoDiver
Never heard of ruler and a pencil? I mean do what ya gotta do to save a buck, but at least make it look good.
JerseyGuy9
Had that POS case, took apart my prebuilt and rebuilt it in a corsair case. Temps are waaay better
