100% of the time. Whenever I boot up a new PC game to play with my girlfriend, she’s always a little puzzled and impatient that I like to adjust settings first. Console people don’t get it.

Motion blur off instantly! Lower master volume by 25% or more! And lower mouse sensitivity by a ton!

Yes. Change quality preset to custom and nail it down. Did it yesterday to DOS2.

The worst is when you can’t access options and the game boots anyway, then you’re sitting through unskippabke cutscenes

I’m convinced half the people moaning about City Skylines 2 haven’t done this. Literally changed 4 settings out of the huge list and tripled my FPS 🤷🏻♂️ IT HAS RAY TRACED LIGHTING BY DEFAULT! Turned light bounces to 4 from 160? Don’t even think you can turn it off completely.
Save yourselves some frustration and alter your settings, like you do in any other game!

I’ve been used to QWES my whole life and stupid games always default to WASD.

Gotta review those key bindings and set mouse to inverted (yeah, I said it).
