
This is taken from sym.gg after the most recent patches. They’ve been bugging the bas-p for months now since it first came out now it’s easily the best smg in the game. And can be built to be better than some ARs at range although the recoil gets funky really far out. It kills as fast as the “fast” killing up close smgs yet has like 2 times the range.
Their weapon balancing isn’t horrible for long range, but it’s absolutely terrible for close range and always has been. Even during wz1

WZ1 had the most diverse AR and SMG meta where guns across every integration were completely viable.
And thanks to the advanced movement in the game, the highest TTK gun wasnt always the best. It was often the gun that had the best mobility + competitive TTK.
With all that said, the BAS-P is very good for sure. But, up close vs a lachman and ISO 45, it will still lose, i think that is why the gun is balanced the way it is. The game lacks mobility, so many gun fights end up being draw point shoot and the fastest TTK gun wins. A 10ms advantage is still a 10ms advantage. Doesnt matter if you have 1 hp left or 100. If youre the one alive, you win the gunfight.
Damage doesn’t drop until 20 some meters it’s def the go to smg.
