You get it bundled with RTX 4000 GPUs sp prob a lil more than 12

  2. Euphoric_Nerve_4119

Just get persona 5 instead, it doesn’t require you to jump through different launchers

  3. APenguinNamedDerek

Is it a epic games exclusive?

I didn’t get Outer Worlds until it stopped being an epic exclusive lol

  4. Hugejorma

If the game is good and run on my hardware, I might buy it. Seems like it’s 49,99 on Epic Store, so at least the release price is more than ok. Not sure why I should hate it, but here it goes: EPIC BAD. Never had any problems with Epic and the price is way cheaper than Stream releases.

I don’t have any hurry to play the game, but the first one was actually good. Remedy hardly ever misses… Almost forgot, that this is also PS5 release. Any version is ok for me.

PS. Does this game come with DRM like Denuvo? That is the only thing I would avoid 100%. I rather take laxatives, take my clothes off, and run a marathon, than pay to get f¤ucked in the a$$ by Denuvo.

  5. faverodefavero

This game will flop, just like Starfield, Jedi Survivor and so on… those games no one talks about after the month it’s released, quickly forgotten.

  6. SBABakaMajorPayne

I would have been one of the 12 ,.. but I think I can wait for price drop & other storefronts accessibility

  7. josephseeed

Alan Wake is one of the many games that came out when I was not gaming at all so missing the sequel is no big deal.

  8. IGFXH2077

There is an allan wake 2? Jk jk

But yeah it could go two ways: it sells well on pc and epic doubles down with another game or it doesn’t sell at all.

I’m hoping it’s the later. So they stop with the bs deals and start improving EGS instead of

  9. drNovikov

Epic? The anti gamer store that tried to infect PC gaming with exclusivity cancer? Eww.

  10. Well, I will get it just for graphics as it’s finally a first game that may challenge a Cyberpunk in that.

    11 copies left, I guess.

  11. thespieler11

I have no idea how Alan Wake 2 is even a thing after playing the absolutely boring slogfest Alan Wake Remastered was.

  12. Vhirsion

Imagine not dropping 2 grand on a GPU just to play Alan Wake 2 with performance upscaling

  13. LycanKnightD6

Selfmade flop, oh, and those 12 people at launch, all YouTube reviewers btw

  14. I’ll just get it on console if it runs well, my pc wouldn’t run it well anyway looking at the recommended specs

  15. Salmonman4

Is Alan Wake 2 the new “Can it run Crysis”?

  16. Lecteur_K7

I remember having a great time playing alan wake it’s just that ibdon’t have the money for overpriced gpu
Also epic game launcher suck and is biggy and put me in a rage everytime i have to use it come on how can the first thing you go to play can suck that much

  17. pan-sobao

Highly unoptimized Survival Horror game… don’t make me barf. The genre alone makes me cringe.

  18. Bullmoose39

This is so accurate. When I saw the spec for playing, I just laughed. How do you wreck a PC launch? Coming up!

  19. Ok-Wasabi2873

I was so excited for Outer Worlds then they made it an Epic exclusive. Then I forgot about it. Still haven’t bought it.

  20. GodIsEmpty

Woah, I’m Canadian my card cost $2000, thank you very much.
Fr tho I know it’s a small group, but pt is so insane and amazing I’m so excited for aw2, I literally bought alan wake remastered for $10 so I could be ready. Cyberpunk looks amazing and I hope this game will too. I’m ridiculously excited for the future of path tracing but also very worried about how much the 5090 will cost.

  21. CarlWellsGrave

I hope for the sake of calling you guys reactionary cry babies, it runs fine on older systems.

  22. I dunno about you guys, but I’m excited to finish Alan Wake 1, play through the Control AWE DLC, and call it a day.

  23. This game is going to suck. Alan wake had a story that ended well with nothing to continue on.

They should have made a different game not a sequel.

  24. ghostpiratesyar

Me in the middle but with my budget ass 1660 whose prepared to play at 20fps

  25. whateverworksforben

When I saw the GPU requirements I thought …. all that for a dude with a flashlight and a jump scare game. Seriously?!?

  26. PeterMcPhile

What really saddens me is that the fill of the lower circle isn’t aligned to the edge

  27. Turnbob73

    This sub and EGS lol

I do not envy any of you, a life that fragile seems miserable.

  28. stackenblochen23

You could still, you know, play it on console

  29. PCGMR2023

One thing is certain. OP with his **RTX A2000 + i7 4790** should consider himself lucky playing upcoming Hades 2 with acceptable framerates. I would suggest to OP to get a console if he cannot afford proper gaming PC. I think iPhone is more capable of running games than his PC…

Now having said that. The game will do well

    1. Because original Alan Wake is a well known, well received game

    2. Because vast majority of games agree that AW2 exclusivity to EGS is fair and square

    3. Because the game has tons of positive online coverage

    4. Because the game is bundled with 4xxx GPUs

    5. Because the game is more affordable than other AAA games ($79 or $89CAN vs $66CAN)

    6. Because Remedy has good reputation as a developer

    7. Because the game is one of the best if not best looking game on the market to date

    8. Because (I assume) the game will have high ratings from game reviewers

    9. Tens of millions of gamers have EGS launcher installed because of free games

Aside from that Xbox and PS5 will sell a lot of copies of this game.

Epic does not need Steam to sell this game well, and Epic does not need to share 30% of its revenue with Steam. Epic will keep that 30% and invest in development of new games.

Finally it is not correct to say that one needs $1000USD GPU to run this game. It is simply incorrect. 2060 does not cost $1000USD, 4070 does not cost $1000USD, 6600XT does not cost $1000USD.

  30. nick91884

I have so many games on my epic games launcher that i have got for free, so if i really wanted to buy it i dont think that would be something to stop me.

  31. DETHmetals

Remember when games used to be fun instead of just tech demos

  32. It’s neat that this game is $40 but honestly I’d probably pay a premium to buy it on a platform that’s not EGS.

  33. JustCallMeRandyPlz

    Complainers gonna complain about anything….

We’ve all seen the steam stats for the most used hardware and I think it’s about time games came out that pushed the hardware needed forward….

I don’t think optimization is the issue here….

I think it’s the fact we’ve been dealing with bad graphics card prices for too long and the money spent isn’t worth the performance we get.

    Blame AMD/NVIDIA.

    Ps

I’m not excusing badly made games that can’t even run on the latest GPUs.
