While MW3 was a step in the right direction, I just so much prefer Treyarchs engine and have been patiently waiting for their next release…
But now that Treyarch is being forced to use the Modern Warfare engine for the first time, I’m just absolutely bummed.

Yea it’s pretty disappointing tbh.
Using the same engine simply means all of the studios are using the same set of tools. Since they’re all touching WZ and other pieces it makes it easier to do that crossover work. It doesn’t mean that their games are going to be exactly the same or anything.
This is great news. When cold war released, it’s backwards ass engine was garbage compared to mw19.
Engine≠gameplay
The CoD community is absolutely shameless about how little they know what engines actually are.
Engines are a set of tools. They dictate things like physics, lighting, CPU processing prioritization, and leveling.
Engine does NOT define gameplay. If Treyarch wanted to, they could’ve made CW play just like MW2019 with their engine.
Damn that sucks 😏
You understand Black Ops 2 ran off the same engine as Mw2 2009?
