113 hours in, second 100% playthrough, first time coming here pretty sure.

That exact spot when you currently are yes.
Nomads use the area during the starting quest.
At least 1 quest I can think off atm takes you into the area.
More if you have Phantom Liberty/2.0
You go there during the side quest “Killing in the Name” tracking that AI signal for Bes Isis.
yeah, not much to do in the biotechnica flats
* just some movie easter eggs
* a gig you get from dakota
* the swedenborg scavanger hunt you get from nancy leads you there
* and of course the nomad life path intro mission takes place there for some time
* oh and one of el capitans pick up spots is located there
100% the game? No. You need to go there for a few things.
If we’re talking 100% including Steam achievements then the answer’s no as there’s “Frequent Flyer” to be bagged for finding all the fast travel points as one is in the middle of the Biotechnica area.
Surprised nobody mentioned it, but The Beast in Me has you drive through there
Also while it’s not actually in the Biotechnica plant itself, one of the Beat on the Brat missions is very nearby
There’s at least 2 gigs nearby that count for the Badlands.
One of the race for the Beast in Me makes you pass through this zone.
The later part of the nomad intro happen here.
The 3rd part of the Killing in the Name mission happen here.
I believe the Bartmoss Collective quest takes you out here to find a router.
There’s one side gig or something out in biotechnica flats. Dakota job, I think.
There’s a gig or two there I believe and if you want all cars I’m pretty sure you need to go to the church there at some point

ive 100%ed the game and yes you need to go there a few times but not often

The FF:06:B5 is clue is there along with the Arasaka 3D game.
I drove through it yesterday. There were a totalled truck and some dead dudes around it. Pretty good loot.
There’s a few things not much
There was like 1 or 2 cars there before. Now there’s just one router for that quest where you find several routers and find a hacked fortune teller billboard kiosk thing
I’m pretty sure this is the area the ff:06b5 stuff happens in.
The ARG server church is in the middle of it
You will miss a few very well made world story shards, and a Dakota mission

For its classic meaning of completionism of course not that doesn’t even need to be explained.
For its more common use of limited completionism through achievements or trophys also no as you need it’s WP and a few gigs there.

The Javelina car is bought on there 🙂 I consider the “Autojock”-achievement as a part of the 100%. I loved Javelina on my first playthrough, but now on my second I like the nomad path car more. I prefer cars over bikes

There’s at least 5-6 gigs down there in different spots. At least a few legendary loot stashes that I can think of too

There is a legendary piece of armor for one of the named sets in the flats.
Nah, there are a couple of quests that lead there. Would love to be able to go inside one of those places for a mission though. See how the sausage is made

There’s a few things that take place in there
There’s a gig or two that take you down there as well as there is an iconic punkknife down there if you include that in your 100%
Several crimes there, and a side mission on the mysterious signal. two gigs there as well. Nomad life path starts out there. Several footsteps to 100% so I’ll call you crazy, mildly crazy

if you start as a nomad you drive theough there in the opening mission
