I’d simply use LEGO. It could deform under extended heat, or even incinerate (My lectures about that topic were 10+ years ago, I’ve forgotten the temp rage).

it’s fine, but my question is, why do so many people try to use random shit as a GPU support instead of just spending 10 bucks and getting a proper one? you spent over $500 on that GPU, why not $10 in something to properly hold it in place?

You can even make your own bracket by two pieces of rubber, a nut and a bolt.
As long as it holds the weight of GPU, doesn’t scratch it, and doesn’t hit the fans, I suppose it’d be alright.
Though the nut and bolt method is dangerous should the nut fall into your PC and short or damage something.

Look you can put a shotglass under it (My friend says that Ikea shot glass was a perfect fit for him.
Mechanically it doesn’t matter as long as the board is not under stress.
