RIP…. to the monitor, not the cat. (Unless you’re that upset). 😢

  2. FujiYuki

All you can really do is try to keep your cat away. As for fixing; nope. Don’t try to polish it like another person suggested, you’ll just end up with a cloudy screen or a broken monitor. If it’s not that noticeable when you’re using it, I say just deal with knowing it’s scratched.

Nah I’d be upset, I don’t even allow cats on my desk and this is a reason why, along with multiple other reasons. Realistically I don’t think there’s much you can do

New monitor time. try to keep you cat away from the new one lol

Cats an asshole. I know they scratch for a reason but no way the monitor was accomplishing the same feeling as like an actual scratching post. Just an asshole lol.

  6. Get a sand paper and turn that screen to a matte finish

  7. Bro i feel that 💀 fuuuck

Im afraid there is nothing to be done about that

  8. Shadow_Ass

Sell it. And about the Monitor… unfortunately not that much

  9. FISH_MASTER

    Rule one of cat ownership

Never leave your cats alone with shit you down want eaten or broken.

  10. Handsome_ketchup

Put a static imagine on it on full blast and make use of Dell’s burn in replacement policy, lol.

Similar post a few days ago, similar scratch marks, except that guy didn’t lie about it being a cat and fessed up to using third party micro fibre cloth. Same outcome though it’s fucked.

  12. HowSoonIsMeow-

Did you leave the monitor on with something moving around the screen?

Get a monitor cover and some interactive toys for them to play with.

  13. Citizen_Null5

Someone is having Kitty tartare this evening!

  14. Basic_Stranger828

Tf? How much does your cat hate you?

The only time I can imagine a cat pawing like that is at a window to signify them wanting out.

    That’s some terrible luck dude

  15. edgy_Juno

Well, not much, sadly. Either get a new monitor (or a cat) or live with the scratches.

Rub toothpaste on it. Old school dvd scratch remover hack

    /s

  17. DrPepperFansville

Buy (2) new ones on amazon and return the scratched ones

  18. Parking_Cress_5105

We replaced polarisers (that’s what’s scratched) at work – large scale refurbishment of scratched screens, but it’s not easy ir cheap, don’t know if anybody offers this service to consumers. Don’t try to polish it too hard it will end up even worse.

  19. MSCOTTGARAND

New fear unlocked. BRB gonna negotiate with the cat.

  20. Vq-Blink

To all the scrubs telling my to sell my cat can get bent. I’d buy 3 more of these monitors before getting rid of my baby

  21. FeelingSquirrel5089

Just make your wallpaper a dog and they won’t do it again.

  22. I fucking hate the fact that any damage to any of the screen layers is basically unfixable unless u wanna spend more than the original monitors price

  23. bigred1978

Nope. Get a new monitor and keep your cat away.

  24. Euler007

Scratch tree in the area, show him how to use it.

  25. ToxicDemon420

It’s Alienware, your cat is trying to tell you something.

  26. ApothecaryG

Put a scratching post next to the monitor before it’s too late.

  27. MountainValleyHills

That’s an expensive cat scratcher you got there OP.
