How long did it take you to trigger Phantom Liberty?

Well, it starts after Transmission with the Voodoo Boys – so it all depends on how long you take to get through the story. Upon replaying, if I stick to the story first it gets opened up fast – but you also get better endings with more story completed so I kind of just let them wait while I work on leveling up and finishing other storylines.

  2. I think I started it at 60 hours. It was perhaps too late as I was overpowered and I found most of the fights easy. The only challenging one was the chimaera – I would have loved more of that.

My first playthrough after PL dropped I did everything I could short of meeting Takemura by the river. On my second now and I rushed through the missions to get to PL and make new choices after taking my sweet time to do the heist.

I cleared CP2077 all the way back in 2020 and hadn’t touched it again till PL dropped. I wanted to experience all the updates since then so I played the main all the way up to meet Honiko at Embers THEN started PL.

No regrets at all it was fun and I’d recommend it to anyone that hasn’t played in a minute.

67 hours and counting. Not touching PL until I do everything up to Nocturne. No point in rushing since its the last expansion for the game. Want to make it last lol.

  6. Builder_liz

Wanted to exhaust most options first lol

  7. I dunno, that sounds about right for me. 50-60 hours. I started over from scratch with 2.0 and did PL when meeting Hanako was about all I had left to do other than a few gigs. My game complete time was 103 hours.

35h.. i’m 75h just finished main story and PL

About 40 hours, but if you really want to you can rush to unlock it in under 10 hours, and it would be kinda worth it to play the first bunch of missions until you meet Reed, because you’ll get another hideout and all Hands’s gigs will be available for you, and at that point you can dive in in all the available sidecrap and then continue the main story (including PL) at the order if your choice. That’s basically what I did, because 40 hours is less than half of all the available content in the game and I just like when everything is laid in front of me so I can satisfy my completionist itch in my crotch 😁

  10. Well I plan on playing phantom Liberty when I buy it on sale and I will start it on my full completion save. Max level max everything but net running, all ncpd scanners, fixer contracts, cyberphychos and tarot cards and every side biz etc etc

Tbh, picked up from my old save. So 140 hours in

Really liking the DLC and all the changes of the past 1.5 years

I had the voodoo boys done around lvl 21/22. Then straight into dogtown, probably lvl 24/25 by the time I had the president safe in the apartment. Then straight to the 5 relic point terminals that you can just walk upto without a fight. Then I left dogtown until over level 40 so all the loot in there will be legendary tier by the time I go to pick it up. Only using Dogtown for Rippers until I’m levelled up.

My PL kept bugging out but the base game plays fine outside some benign bugs so I decided to complete every single other job and story mission first before doing PL. I’m 20 hours in so far and haven’t even done the pre-parade meeting with Takemura. Just scanner hustles and side missions/gigs. Still no Judy, Panama, nothing. I actually like it because I end up exploring and experimenting more. Tbf tho I have done a few prior playthroughs so I’ve already revealed all the none PL spoilers so there’s no need to rush and I can just take in the scenery more. Like watching your favorite movie for the 100th time and noticing all the little things.

Some 60 hours on my fresh playthru i started when 2.0 dropped

Tho it took some time since i try to playing as stealth on hardest difficulty and my V dies immediately if caught in full combat with more than handfull of gonks

  15. kawaiinessa

it took me 20 hours but i was mostly just trying to get to the new content but im on very hard difficultly and found it a bit too difficult so i havnt touched it for a while right now

55hr 4min Level 47. Just finished PL around 100+ hr.

  17. Started PL after 30 hours, did the intro, unlocked relic perks and some cool new gear and then went back to doing main game side missions.

Will then return to PL after finishing the main side stuff.

  18. On a 2.0 save without PL? 83h but the only mission left was Meet at Embers. On a fresh save on 2.1 around 15h so that I unlock Dogtown, get access to the new tree, and let it be.

  19. well, within 2 seconds of starting the game, considering I have a 100% completion.

  20. BattleCrier

    on 1st run.. about lv.20-25

2nd run.. Im at lv.43 and still not there.. (apparently I did entire Panam quest series before doing Automatic Love.. (interesting how Johnny’s interactioms changed a bit)

  21. crossdots

I kept it on hold as long as I had main game gigs and side jobs. There was a moment when I was on hold with all running side jobs and maine quests (everybody told me they will contact me after a day or two), so then and there I weaved PL in my V’s journey to salvation, and I can say that it fits perfectly inside the main game. Same level as you when I started it.

it starts right after you finish the quest with the Voodoo Boys, but finishing other quests and gigs open up more options to certain things here and there. Like you can ask for help bout a possible case of cyberpsychosis, you can get another ending in one of the gigs when you get a better understanding of how BD’s work. Stuff like that

  23. Aublivioin

Around 40 hours and i haven’t even met de voodoo boys yet

  24. Tigernos

I started a new playthrough with the drop of PL, Takemura is still sitting in the Diner waiting for me 28 hours in. I don’t think I’ll be arriving at Dogtown any time soon

  25. makmad680

I completed every gig/scanner hustle/side job and got all trophies upto the point of no return in the base game before jumping into the dlc. Did all the endings (dlc+main campaign) one after the other and man that shit messed me up. Except for the Panam ending, all the other ones are sad af. Glad I waited till update 2.0 dropped to play this gem

  26. SFWxMadHatter

For my first I wanted my new character to have Archangel before I went in, so I’m all the way to Hanako and was in low 50s.

  27. did the transmission section once legendaries started dropping, somewhere late 30s

  28. Bazzatron9000

Honestly, I started a new game after update 2.0 dropped, but having played through the game twice already & done a lot of the side stuff, I was too impatient to play through to the point where PL starts, so loaded up my favorite old save from just before the “point of no return”.

  29. bunmyeon

120+ hours and counting. Still waiting to trigger the Us Cracks quest and see if i should do rogue’s ending first so i can get her pistol for PL

  30. Being level 60 and all out of NCPD scanner missions, gigs and side missions. Hanako got married and had 3 kids by the time I finally got around to Embers
