Congrats. What an upgrade!! My 2700k only had a brief rest before I built my Unraid server. It’s been running 24/7 the last year.

Why 7950x3d if it’s a gaming rig for Counter strike

I ran a 2600K (at 4.2, obviously!) with two GTX 680s in Nvidia mode and two HD 7970s in AMD mode for a few years. That was a “best of all worlds” system. 15 minutes and the system was reconfigured with two new GPUs. By the time it was retired, the 680s were largely redundant. They didn’t age as well as the 7970s did.

Damn fine chips those Sandy Bridge i7s were. I had my 2600k running under water at 5ghz and on DDR3 2133 for something like 4 years with nary a complaint.
