I’m Lieu of the recent 14900k launch, my 7980xe doesn’t seem so bad.

Lol, when I seen 300watts i was like ok … And that’s without the extra pci-e lanes.

The good news is at some point a standard US outlet wouldnt be able to support the max power draw of a high end system. So I think there’s a limit in how bad it can get.

They’ll just ad 20AMP breaker into your system requirements.

  4. People keep confusing power consumption with efficiency. Efficiency is computations per watt. A 14900k is one of the most efficient PC CPUs ever developed.

I love that Intel just launched these barely refreshes refreshes…

And AMD takes the time to re-release Threadripper with real leaps in performance and with insane threadcounts.

13900K is like twice as fast as the 7980XE though, you have to take that into account

The word you are looking for is “light”, i.e. “in light of”.

“In lieu of” means “instead of”.

This is why you just wait like 8 years before you upgrade your cpu. Is the 14900k not that much of an upgrade for 13900k user maybe, is it giant leap for someone using a 4 series i7 yes, tottaly yes.
