My brand new pc will not post with the vertical gpu mount installed. It does work tho if the gpu is installed horizontaly.
I am guessing its a problem with thie riser cable not supporting PCiE gen4. Do I have to RMA the riser and if so witch vertical GPU mount would you recomend ? (I am using the Phanteks vertical gpu holder)

Maybe I can’t see it from the glare in the glass, but you did hook up the power cable to the GPU?
Are you getting an error code from the mobo? (usually a green light indicates a gpu issue). You can also set your PCIE spec to Gen 3 in the BIOS. If it posts when you don’t use your riser cable, that’ll be your issue.
Also, check that the PCIE connections are good.
Its definitely the riser cable being PCIe 3.0, you will have to correct this any time you want to do a bios update or such, as those reset the PCIe speed. Either live with it or swap to something like the cooler master vertical mount v3 with 4.0 riser, using that one for months now and its fine.
I’m just here to say that that hard drive hurts me
