The case I already owned. GPU (GTX 980), CPU (FX 8350), and motherboard (gigabyte ga-990fxa) all found in trash (I’m a garbage man). Purchased some cheap fans, cooler and ram to complete the build. Monitor was free as well.
So far, it’s running very well for what it is. Even doing Wii U emulation pretty damn good. Not bad at all for mostly free.

Definitely look into upgrading that CPU. Ryzen was a huge improvement over FX.

Monitor has better response time and motion handling than 99% of modern monitors! I used to play quake 3 professionally and when LCD’s became normal it was a nightmare lol, went from a 120hz monitor with near instantaneous response times with125fps in 2003 to a 60hz piece of shit once I eventually caved and switched:|
This could be a decent setup for running emulator station or whatever and loading up some old games
