Updated requirements aren’t even that bad relative to some of the games we’ve seen come out recently.

I doubt the GPU is the issue, the CPU will need to be beefy to calibrate the simulation. It’s likely they paired the 3080 as an average because a higher CPU may be needed.

Look man, you wanna know the secret to not being depressed about this particular aspect of the video games industry? Just add 1 year to every launch date. You can mark the launch date on the calendar as Q4, 2024. There. No more sad.

Also they’re removing Steam workshop compatibility in favor of a proprietary mod distribution tool.

At least they said something?

I guess the dev critics of Baldurs gate were right. Baldurs gate is an exception to norm of unfinished games.

i expected better from paradox, stellaris is really good and can probably run on a toilet paper sheet. I guess devs just dont care anymore

I never get the ‘the game is not yet out yet I am mad’, why not wait till the game is out before the rage starts?

Let’s say hypothetically they delay it 2 more months to raise performance targets…You could just also wait 2 months if they launch now for that same patch to release. It’s the same thing for you either way.
If the game isn’t broken, just getting lower FPS than ideal, then if it bothers you that much, just don’t buy it at launch. It’s not like CS is a series that requires high FPS. I used to enjoy the hell out of the first one despite my prior build only managing 30fps

Beta phase releases are becoming the norm.

I blame the product managers

I’m very glad they didn’t decide to delay it. I can’t wait to play this game, I’ll take an “looks like CS1 on its launch day” version any time.
BLSmith2112
The fact that they’re being open about this BEFORE release is kinda nice.

That’s it, I’m done buying games. I’m just sticking to WOW and my backlog.
Lazy ass industry.

Eh, worst case we go back to the OG game.
Like however one went back to aoe2 when aoe3
Or like how everyone want back to aoe2 when aoe4

As a GamePass enjoyer, and considering that this isn’t their first roller coaster, I think it won’t be hot garbage.

Remember the times, when game developers had to press their game into a few megabytes…
Storomyr
Just don’t fucking buy it. Until it’s fixed anyway.
