I thought because it was Idris I was gonna love his character. Idk why I had it in my head that he was gonna be this kickass rebel/maverick.
Ended up being kinda one-note and too loyal to the wrong people and for the wrong reasons.
Reed was a tool that had no problem being used and that bothered me. However, So Mi was a bonafide Cyberpsycho so I didn’t side with Reed so much as I was looking out for the world. Couldn’t let her be free but also honored her request so that Myers couldn’t keep prodding this Blackwall stuff (Cynosure was insane).
Basically I started Phantom Liberty with the goal being to cure myself. By the end I was legit trying to stop a global catastrophe and then I made sure the wrong people couldn’t get their hands on the key player they’d need to continue working on this shit. I accepted the return to status quo of not having found a cure but instead the entire ordeal still felt worth it because of who I met, what I learned, what I accomplished, and the results of the relationships I created.
