My 3080 is doing fine in 4k.. even getting a steady 60fps in starfield, fsr enabled and high-ultra settings..

  4. I like jokes about VRAM on Nvidia cards, but you should do your research first to make it correct 😉 There’s no 8GB 3080.

Not to be that guy, but the 3080 has 10GB (or 12GB if you got that variant).

  6. Low_Doubt_3556

    Wait you guys have VRAM?

(sad laptop user with a total of 8gb of ram)

what games won’t run at 1440p 60fps with 8GB VRAM? assuming its optimised and not broken mess shitty port game. please put down whole list.

What kind of chinese knock off 3080 are you using with 8GB VRAM?

Think you may have run out of memory too when you tried to recall how much VRAM the 3080 has, mate.

I do not regret my 80ti at all and am happy to skip the 40 series

6GB Vram and now I feel inadequate

I run games at 1080p so 8g is still plenty for me.

I keep seeing “8Gb isn’t enough anymore” but like… What games and resolution are you playing at that 8Gb isnt enough?

  13. MsgNotFound

Me playing with only 512 mb vram. (Yes, mb)

Very little if your trying to get 1440p/4K from it yeah, for most of us we started and gamed happily as pigs in shit on old 2GB-4GB-6GB cards for a very long time, the only thing that has changed is lazier game developers and resolutions. A 8GB GPU would still do pretty much any title in 1080p.

It’s little just for that 0.1% of garbage that uses so much VRM because it’s unoptimized

  16. as a person who only need 1080p and wouldn’t mind turning down graphics settings, i think my 1650 4gb is good enough (for me atleast)

    PC Gaming has changed.
It’s no longer about companies, rasterization, or prices. It’s an endless series of proxy battles, fought by developers and upscalers.
    PC Gaming–and it’s consumption of dollars–has become a well-oiled machine.
    PC Gaming has changed.

Only in AAA games with poor optimization. My 3070 ti kicks ass in all relevant games at 2 k 120 fps +
