Honestly I am at a bit of a loss here. He has sadistic tendencies like when he said “normally I like my kills to be a little more drawn out on origins.” Yet at the same time he expresses remorse for taking the soul of his child self. Maybe a low end sociopath who just lacks empathy. Or a sadist what do you think?

Definitely would not be a sociopath. Sociopaths have little to no genuine emotion or connection and use others for personal gain. Dude continued a never ending time cycle just to keep his friends alive

I would say he is a sociopath created from his environment. He lacks a strong moral compass but has empathy for others, which fits the bill of a sociopath.
Its hard to compare because by the time we see him or hear him in radios, Ultimus Richtofen was corrupted by the MPD. I dont think either are sociopaths, they both definately feel significant emotion, But theyre definately both not quite right. I think it could be more of a case of environment and upbringing than nature. Primis Tricky Rich always had a need to be the hero, to feel like a saviour, and be recognised for it. Ultimus Richtofen wanted to be a famous world changing scientist, but Maxis kept fucking with his projects, leading Richtofen to believe he was stealing his work. Treyarch have confirmed that aside from environmental changes, the characters are the same people across the multiverse, so while Ultimus Richtofen is corrupted, theyre not that much different.
