I was walking away when I thought “Let me just slice this kid’s drone real quick.” but the sudden call just as I was about to attack made me feel like the game caught me red-handed.
The drone used to say it was the delamain drone from the first delamain quest when you scanned it

You can’t destroy it anymore in 2.0 anyway. They changed it to a non-attackable target.
I know because I have always destroyed it on my laps around Pacifica, since I usually had the perk that increased the chance of drones and mechs dropping weapon mods and attachments. But it won’t let me anymore.
