Consider a nursing chair with square arms. Provides excellent support, swivels, reclines, and gives me all the comforts usually reserved for couch and console gaming. Only problem is that I sometimes fall asleep in it.

That’s why I went wireless and bought myself a Logitech low latency mouse and keyboard combination (G915 and G703).

Allows for very comfortable couch gaming setups.

Welp there goes that market now.

Get ready for gaming focused nursing chairs with 500% markup.

Solid discovery though. I may do the same as I am planning a revamp of my gaming zone.

I just game on my sofa. My PC connects to my TV through a wall.

    It’s lovely.

Mini keyboard + trackball mouse while my prematurely dadded-up back unfucks itself on a heating pad, laying on the couch afternoons after work.

Gaming chairs never were comfy in the first place. Their design inspiration is racing seats which were created to be as light as possible and to keep pilot in place on high speeds, with absolutely *zero* comfort in mind. But it looks cool yeah

Y’all really need to try a solid office chair, I changed from my gaming chair to simply a good office one and Christ almighty I don’t sweat in it, it breathes, my spine feels better, armrests are actually useful. Now I feel like gaming chairs are just a gigantic scam

If I could afford a 120 hertz tv this would be the dream set up

  8. Hot-Consequence-4548

I’ve been doing that with my setup aswell, I just pull my screen abit closer

Gamers slow but inevitable descent into being bed-ridden shut-ins who will have to be removed from their basement via a crane.

  10. Antic_Opus

I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve always used my pc to couch game with wireless kb&m

Wel..i recommend standing up from time to time and do some stretching? Maybe walk a little then continue gaming or working on your pc

gaming chair was never comfy in the first place. office chairs all the way

  13. WildAsOrange

Have you considered exercise? 15 minutes of stretching followed by 30 minutes of cardio can do wonders.

  14. LandBeforeTimeOnVHS

This is horrible for back problems. It will put your spine in flexion and aggravate disc issues.

A good office chair that keeps your spine in its natural position and a sit/stand desk so you can take frequent standing breaks is ideal.

    This is not the way.

  15. Your back and arms will punish you for this.

    And your neck too.

$99 Walmart office chair. Works perfect

Man, kicking back like that last night led to the best pvp game of destiny 2 I’ve ever had. 7 kill streak and top of the board.

  19. Standing desk bruh.

I know it sounds counter intuitive but oh my God has it made a difference. I work from home and as it turns out man was not meant to shrimp pose for 8 hours a day.

I also found that standing desks make it easier for me to pace during meetings and while working and pacing helps me think for some reason.

Those Monty chairs start around $1300. Good luck.

Though they are super comfy (I have 2 of them).

  21. LucaDarioBuetzberger

The problem is only because a chair feels comfortable at first, doesen’t mean that it is good for your back.

  22. jazzding

Get a Height adjustable desk, play while standing for 1h. Sit down on a high-quality office chair (you know, the chairs you usually find in offices that cost between 600 and 1000 $). After 2h, go back standing.

As an alternative I recommend something like the Paleo chair (it’s not available in the US right now).

  23. I’m 20 and I already can’t sit for hours like I used to

  24. ketamarine

    No dood, it is not.

That chair will make your back pain way worse over time.

Go look up office ergonomics and get a proper office chair. They are literally designed to be sat in for hours without stressing your body.

  25. BearChowski

Office chairs are meant to sit for prolonged hours.
