And not only this, but their shitty EULA states that they can literally request for you to delete the game from your computer, not just ban you from online, but to practically take the game away that you paid for!

I never did understand devs that are against (offline) modding. It can quite literally breath new life into your game. This is a whole other level though.
I had no idea the devs for that game were this bad, me and some friends bought this game not long ago but it was boring so we all refunded it.
Never heard of a little indie dev called Rockstar? They made this little niche game called Grand Theft Auto.
ngl this game is boring as fuck even with friends. The concept is there but it just isn’t scary or fun at all, tedious at best imo.

Someone said “there has to be more to this”. And yes, there is. OP said they’re playing offline. OP got banned for a few reasons, most likely. First off, discussing mods at all is against the server rules. Second, using mods is against EULA. I don’t agree with the idea but it is there. Even in single player the game connects to servers for various legitimate reasons. Because of this, mods can and have affected the servers and ruined the experience for everyone else. TLDR: OP was being a douche and got banned. The devs are pretty awful but they’re at least consistent in their rules
Lastly, OP mentioned servers catching fire. A few months ago the developer’s office literally caught fire and caused severe damage. So that was just an extremely disgusting and distasteful thing to say to them. OP is legit a POS for that.
If you wanna shit on the devs for something real, Google “Phasmophobia sexual harassment” and ask the devs why CJ is still working there despite saying it’s “fair game” to share a woman’s nude photos without her permission

Man, the entitlement affliction that affects some people. THEY made this game -all of it. They did not invent the limited use license, but it exists to protect the creators of the IP. THEY get to set the rules, just like you would, say, in your house. It is THEIR product, not yours.
Modding is modifying that product. Maybe that will lead to the creation of a cheat code that WILL damage their ability to monetize their product (people will stop buying it if it is full of cheaters).
They don’t know you, you’re an internet stranger and many, many internet strangers are up to nefarious bullshit and will say “honest, I was just modding the game for my own personal enjoyment”. Gotta take your word for that.
If I made a game, I’d protect it, too. Such a shit take in this thread!
