I just got the XFX AMD Radeon 6800 Swift 319 and I was wondering what this switch near the 8pin ports does?

  1. Usually it’s there to change between two modes. Default one and “Gaming/OC”. Can’t you just check the manual?

  2. Switches between a quiet mode BIOS with low clocks, low power, and low voltage (efficiency or “mining mode”) and a more aggressively gaming mode BIOS.

it switches between differnt bios you can have more than one bios on these cards. they where extremly popular by overclockers and during the bitcoin boom for miners because people could put a custom bios on them without risking briking the card.

Switches the card on and off. Make sure you switch it off when you turn off your PC and turn it back on BEFORE you turn on the PC.

PCMR masters of not reading their manuals now I guess. And gamers wonder why things like video game manuals went out of vogue lol.
