Can’t wait to find out the next company he’ll make shittier after being inexplicably installed in a position of authority.

That’s nice but the damage is already done and I’m afraid Unity might continue to be stupid with or without him.

  3. Wow, the price change fallout must have been worse than anyone ever hoped, the fact the shareholders forced him out instead of just blaming some random lower level guy means shit must have really hit the fan internally, you almost never see management see the consoquences of their actions.

Good, they deserve every bit of it.

Unity CEO leaving cuz of fee drama? Sucks for them. Maybe they’ll learn to not be greedy assholes next time.

An important thing to remember, the shareholders who forced him out **approved** of the price changes. The goal there was to appease them and their hunger for more and more profit, they still want to be appeased they’re just gonna look for another way to achieve the same goal.

The reason most tech companies have become so profit hungry isn’t because they are genuinely hurting for money, they all saw a massive boost during the pandemic and the new shareholders that invested during that boost are looking to reap profits at even higher levels than the pandemic boost level, regardless of the cost too the user experience.

Well well well, if it isn’t the consequences of my actions.

I was waiting whether this one would happen. If nothing happened, it was likely an intentional move to first suggest something stupid, to then dial it back to something also, but less stupid, and have people be happy with some stupid change.

However, now that Riccitiello is forced to leave, it’s more likely it really was a big mistake. There’s obviously always the option of him leaving anyway and it still being a setup, but I don’t think so.

Now we just wait to find out which company he’s moving to and will ruin people’s fun for the next few years.

We need to boycott whichever company his golden parachute lands on.

Given his history with a video game developer/publisher, and now leaving a game engine company, I’d be willing to guess he wants to get in with ether consoles or computer components next.

There he goes on his golden parachute y’all! I’m sure he feels so bad about trying to fuck over so many people!

If you look at the unity logo, you owe them money

Don’t think this keeps them from repeating this in the future.

Bring on unpopular ceo. Have him make a stupid greedy decision. See if they can get away with it.

Get away with it? Profit. Can’t? Fire ceo with golden handshake and pretend it wasn’t the plan from the get-go.

Fuck off with your predatory practices.
