I dislike the 12th and 13th gen u processers, like they kinda make sense. But I need more threads for my work. But to each there own.

It’s not so much that they’re almost all 1080p but it’s shocking how many mid range laptops are using shitty TN panels lately. Honestly 4 years ago every low end Acer I saw had an IPS or VA panel and today I see $500 Lenovos and Asus with TN panels it’s like we’ve gone back 10 years. I don’t understand why either, the price difference can’t be more than 10 bucks (for the OEM buying panels by the thousands) are they that desperate to save $10 and make their products look bad or is it a supply issue or something?

Even the phone I don’t even have anymore that I bought back in 2014 had a bigger resolution than this

I had a T440p, so I could go from 768p to 1080p ips in about 5 mins and 60$

I worked at a place that was going to buy me a new laptop, lucky me, I was a brand new employee and everything. I saw the model they were ordering and it had a 14″ screen with that rez. I begged to get an upgraded Rez to 1080 explaining why, and eventually they actually agreed.
When it arrived it was a 15″ 768 screen. -_-

You’ll not believe me then haha. I’m running a Ryzen 5 7600x with an XFX RX 7900 XTX and 32 GBS DDR5 Ram, nothing too crazy but decent specs. The crazy part? I’m busy with work and other things regularly so I’m not even in my home half the time. What does this mean? Well, it means I get to use my shitty work laptop that has a 1366×768 screen to remote into my main computer through parsec to play games when I do have free time or some light work. I always remote using a 5g network else I won’t even bother, but I think I got the point across that it’s that stupid lol.

Last time I had anything in that resolution was 2013 when I built my first PC and had to use a cheap TV as my monitor until I could save up more for an actual monitor.
