How is it with text in normal applications? I really want a monitor like this, but I’m also a programmer and I’ve heard text can look bad on them.

FYI cyberpunk recently added the ability to set smaller HUD bounds, so the hud is not at the very edge of the screen. I use a 32:9 ultrawide and was very pleased when they added this.
