
Hello! I recently got an all-AMD PC and I’m trying to overclock my sticks to 3600Mhz. I’ll post all the specs at the bottom. I have two main problems / questions I need help with.
There are two XMP profiles in the BIOS, one for 3000 with 17 timings and one for 3200 with 18 timings. I used the 18 timings to overclock to 3466 successfully, but the system doesn’t boot when I go to 3600 with same timings. Upping the voltage doesn’t help either. I don’t want to go beyond 1.4V, since I don’t know what die I have.
Problem #1) I don’t know what dies I have. [The OC Bible](https://github.com/integralfx/MemTestHelper/blob/oc-guide/DDR4%20OC%20Guide.md#kingston-code) suggests the letters H for Hynix, M for Micron, and S for Samsung, but my letters are DPMK. I couldn’t find what K stands for, or what can be done with it.
Problem #2) Okay, let’s run at 3466 I say, no big problem, right? Except I don’t know if I’m actually running FCLK 1:1 mode. In HWInfo64, Memory clock is 1733, while the Infinity Fabric Clock (FCLK) is 1729. I *did* set the FCLK to 1733 in BIOS, but this is what HWInfo64 shows. Am I running in 1:1 mode?

There are programs to use to see the die. Thaiphoon Burner
ZenTimings will tell you UCLK MCLK and FCLK values and voltage.
Read it slow again. Post screenshots
The program CPU-Z might display at least the manufacturer of the ICs. AFAIK a K in the code usually indicates that it could be any of the manufacturers’ ICs for that bin, but I don’t know a whole lot about Kingston Codes.
My gut tells me it’s possible it could be Dual Rank 8Gbit Micron (8Gbit Rev E? M8E as its abbreviation), or some flavour of Dual Rank 8Gbit Hynix (Dual Rank 8Gbit CJR/DJR/JJR/1JR?), as to my knowledge Kingston usually sources more ICs from Micron and Hynix.
As for the FCLK reporting slightly off to what your MCLK is, that’s normal. Just software being weird with its rounding. If you manually set it to a 1:1 ratio, it is going to actually run at 1:1, even if the software doesn’t fully think it is.
