This is insanely stupid. The AVP is possibly the most advanced piece of consumer technology ever developed, with the best mini-oled displays basically ever, the processing power of a laptop, and an array of sophisticated sensors. The top image looks to be a low-fov, single-eye, AR only device dependent on a link with a phone.
One is dead years ago and the other one is $3000 VR porn watching machine that can’t play games, I don’t know what kind of conservation we are supposed to have in here.

The glasses are supposed to be an all day, every day use device that augments your every day vision. Which also means constant data collection as you walk down the street.
The apple VR/AR goggles are more of a replacement for a screen. You sit in an office and use it as an alternative screen/interface
