I mean outside of the white washing problem I didn’t mind her in Ghost in the shell. Just, the movie was meh, not just her character.
It’s a series not a movie. I’m cautiously optimistic but this really could go either way in terms of quality.
From what I have seen it could potentially be a series as one of the guys working on it helped with a few HBO shows

No, it’s not confirmed it’s a movie. It’s confirmed it’s live action. Considering who is making it, I’d say it will be a series.
Please do something entirely different. If any known characters show, I hope they are side characters in the movie, at most. And I hope the “lifepath” of the main character is different.

Actually a game (and a studio) I have high hopes for when it comes to adaptation.

Late 2024 is far too ambitious. If it’s just being announced, it’s still in pre-production and probably won’t start filming until mid 2024.
I’d say we get it late 2025.
Edgerunners was terrible. If the series will be as terrible, I don’t wanna see it. Although it will bring in money, since zombies of the entertainment industry eat anything, anytime, anywhere.

I don’t think they said “movie” anywhere, they just said “live action project”. For all we know its another tv miniseries are even just a short film. Idk what is with the cyberpunk community constantly putting words into CDPR’s mouths, its like you’re all gonked out on glitter or something.
A Live action night city done well has potential to become one of the most visually appealing movies ever made.
