Shangri-La skull

I’ve seen a bunch of people claim that the skull in the room where you collect the Focusing Stone on Shangri-La is from an alien. Well, it’s clearly not the case.

1. The nose and eye sockets look more human-like. Judging by looks alone, it’s unlikely that an alien would resemble something like this.

2. It’s more likely to be a skull from an ancient cultural practice where people would elongate an infant’s head at birth while it’s still forming. The effects would be permanent and it was seen as a high social status, or a sign of beauty

Not to mention that some time in the Zombies storyline, and heard from one of the radios, when Richtofen was transported to Shangri-La he came across the temple’s natives. So if Shangri-La has a tribe there, it might be likely that they would practice this tradition
