  1. Looks like they updated their detection again. My blocking mechanisms still work, though.

  2. TaskMaster130

Idk how but my adblocker got youtube whitelisted all by itself until I redlisted it again. Some shenanigans going on

  5. JASHIKO_

    Been coming for a while.
Firefox and Ublock Origin seem to work still.

  6. FakoSizlo

Ublock still works but they seem to be detecting adblock . Doesn’t matter either way because the message doesn’t block access at the moment

  7. RealPolok

    Here we go again….

    FIREFOX + UBLOCK ORIGIN

  8. I don’t understand.. you have ads on youtube or something?

  9. SpaceWindrunner

Brave still works fine, both on desktop and mobile.

  10. Megalopath

Already got rid of YT Red because I’m sick of their crap, should I get this message it’s time to switch to using a downloader.

Every time I see an ad on YouTube (usually on my phone bc I block on desktop), I just shake my head. Someone at these companies is either wasting a shit ton of money on YouTube ads, or there are people out there who actually make purchasing decisions based on 30 second skits. I appreciate that they subsidize the cost of the service, but they’re not losing a dime if I block them. I’m never going to make a purchase based on a YouTube ad…

I use an extension that’s just called AdBlock. it’s on Google and Edge extension stores. works for most youtube ads, certainly all the video ads. you still get the odd sidebar from time to time. same on reddit.

advertisers don’t want adblockers completely banned from browsers because the reality is if you’re going to put the effort into blocking ads, you’re not very likely to click the ad and buy the product, so they don’t want to pay the service provider to serve you that ad.

So they are making their detection strong it seems but till now I haven’t faced this issue on the brave browser+default brave ad blocker (Brave Sheild ).

  14. Sudden-Anybody-6677

I’m already one step ahead with my Anti-Adblock Blocker plugin.

  15. echo1ngfury

  17. ICumCoffee

  18. Acceptable_Cow_2950

At this point I’ll learn coding to make my own and blocker.

  19. Dumke480

uBlock Origin on all browsers that I use works fine.

  20. SolidZealousideal115

Brave is still working for me.

  21. Hot take. This is completely fair and shouldn’t be a problem. YouTube is a giant company and at least their ads you know aren’t carrying anything problematic like pop ups or anything. They deserve to make money on their free service. Also, honestly YouTube premium is an amazing deal. Replaces any music subscription you may already have, enhanced bitrate for 1080p videos, 100x support for the people you do watch (infinite if you use ad blocker), and no ads. Woo!

I got this message a month or so ago and promptly switched from Chrome to Firefox. I haven’t seen that message since.
