Can’t say I’m a fan of his face. He looks like every overpriced fuck boy barber in Austin, TX. All he’s missing is a top knot and tattoos of clippers and a straight razor. I have a handlebar myself so I think the way he talks is what sets me off really.

I can’t remember the beard(outline) in initial release, I always figured he was an “illusive man” type, only to find him in PL with a beard and very little chrome.

I updated to 2.0. I got to like level 49 and about 80% SQ. Hands was shrouded as always. Got PL after that – Ive done 5 gigs for the man. He’s still shrouded.
The only thing I noticed – I don’t remeber his silhouette having a beard on OG launch, but it does now. And seeing this confirms that.

Did they change the voice actor too? The voice acting seems more like an older person now when before it was a younger voice, kinda slick sounding vibe.

I honestly prefer the original voice actor and model. This new version seems way too dignified to be in Pacifica. I liked the fast-talking sleazebag that was the original Mr. hands with his purple/blue suit and who probably didn’t have a beard. The new version is perfectly serviceable, don’t get me wrong, but the original was far more interesting and fun.

My head canon is the old Mr. Hands is what Mr. Hands really looked like, then when V started rising as a merc and Mr. Hands was possibly going to meet V. So Mr. Hands got a full body makeover with a voice change to not appear so dumpy.

I like the new voice. Whether it’s a new VA or just trying something new to fit his PL character, I like it. Old Hands seemed sleazy to me and that’s fine for a fixer in what is essentially the slums of one giant hell hole of a city, but I was disappointed we never got to meet or see him and he didn’t have that many jobs for us.

It’s definitely a different guy completely. I guess they wanted a more manly man instead of a slimy sales man. He has a much lower and smoother voice and a calmer personality overall
