I have wonend this pc since 2021 living in a room not paying anything but room rent. Now and since I moved in to a flat I have been paying a lot for electricity. Ryzen 5 3600 cpu, 16g ram and RX5700xt idle pulls more than 120wts out of the wall and while gaming can pull up towards 480wts. Just this month as pulled little more than 73k kwh in this normal?

Hello Excellent_Nothing_94, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

Sounds about right, 480W * 8hrs * 30 days is 115.2 kWh a month roughly, so 73 kWh seems to fit

  4. That’s normal. I have a similar setup with r5 3600 and Rx 6800 and see just slightly lower idle and peak usage. My Setup consumes 30-50 kWh a month (with less runtime). I think for the amount of gaming you do, the power should be worth it. You could always try to undervolt components or limit your FPS in games if you need to save money. 70 kWh assuming ~35 cents per kWh works out to less than 25€ a month.
