Because it’s on a different planet. The demons in Vanguard don’t come from Earth, in fact, this very location was the birthplace of Vercanna (Back when it was a beautiful place in nature filled with delicious greens, and not crude reds)
Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean that they come from different universes, just different planets.
