Hacking without overclocking feels brutal, so I put together this out of frustration before redoing my build.

Man even with everything maxed out there is not enough ram

  2. use smart weapons. get perks that restore ram on use. dont get the crit hacks thing they do enough damage without it. you’re a netrunner you rely on certainty not chance.

remember that control hacks (blind, deafen, memorywipe, cripple and so on) reduce the cost of combat hacks with the right perk combo’s.

you’re strength is to anihilate the biggest threat instantly. know your rotation’s strength. do you need a control hack to give bonuses to any follow up hacks? does disable cyberware cheapen cyberpsychosis for you? once you spend about 10 minutes to figure these out. (check what deck you’re using too, there’s 4 different types all at rank 1 through 5 now so you can have the same deck all game and just upgrade it) you’ll suddenly realise you’re much much stronger than you thought.

for example, get a gun that sets people on fire. then use corrosion on them before shooting them a bit to set them on fire. corrosion at higher ranks causes explosions when you light people on fire dealing WAY more damage if you get people clustered first.

and finally, swap out from the flat healing to the heal over time buff. it heals for more and when you activate overclock you can get more out of it. especially at the higher levels where you can juggle your HP bar regening from kills and dumping it into the next group of mooks.

    1. Combos. I can comfortably System Malfunction/Short Circuit 3 gonks in one go without tapping into my health, and it’s super effective.

    2. Don’t upgrade EVERYTHING to tier 5, specifically Memory Wipe. Keep that at 4. It’s just as effective in most cases as part of a Stealth Hacking combat chain, and it only costs 10 ram instead of 32.

Like others have said, Mono-wire and Smartguns. Stack ram Recovery.

This seems kinda…obvious, I guess? Looking at the tree, it seems pretty clear that Overclock is the button that enables a pure Quickhack build.

As a man who only ever hacked the door at the beginning of the game I don’t get it.

    I only use the sandy

guess I’m just going to go punch everyone instead

I can systematically stealth kill whole areas with pretty much no ram issues

Yeah, you have to decide if you wanna incorporate another way of killing to restore ram or go full overclock

  9. If you want to use the very effective stuff, you need to stack synergies and use the right combo to reduce the cost of ultimates and other ones.

They rebalanced the whole system by making it more of a puzzle to manage the ressources for it.

I don’t usually play netrunner do I don’t get it, I’m more of a “Sandev Abuse with Katana” guy
