Hello all, I’m an artist and an aesthetic that has intrigued me most of my life is cyberpunk, but I want to focus on the less obvious visual elements.
For example, see first pic attached. There’s not a wire or computer in sight, but something about the black marble and rose gold tinted mirror just SCREAMS cyberpunk to me.
Is it just a byproduct of when the genre was at its height? (That’s just the corpo style of the 80s-90s)
Can anyone else suggest images/ideas/looks that invoke cyberpunk without directly referencing technology?
Bonus pics for more examples of this kind of corpo post-brutalist look I’m talking about

Literally nothing about these pics is cyberpunk at all.

Is number 3 the inland steel corporation HQ? If you’re a chicago resident, definitely go visit some of the architecture firms in that building during next month’s open house.
